Janet L. (Polandick) Yezerski

Janet L. Yezerski, 80, of Herminie, passed away peacefully on Monday, Jan. 15, 2024, in Latrobe Hospital with her family by her side.  She was born Jan. 22, 1943, in Jeannette, a daughter of the late John  and Bertha (Sisko) Polandick. Janet was a  member of St. Edward Church in Herminie and was also a member of the choir. She loved going to craft shows with her daughter Tracy. She also enjoyed cooking and baking cookies for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Spending time with her family was most important. Janet and Wayne were always together, they were dedicated to each other, always being by each others side.

Janet is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Wayne A. Yezerski Sr.; son, Wayne A. (Sharon) Yezerski Jr. of Jeannette; two daughters, Tracy (Bob) Gadagno of Greensburg and Nicole Karas; five special grandchildren, Deidre Yezerski, Stephanie (Michael) Stefanick, Brooke (Derek) Steiner, Brianna Karas and Vinny, Summer Sedley and R.J.; four special great-grandchildren, Shane, Oliver, Elijah and Leo; two sisters, Jean Ogg of Export and Nancy (Bill) Sabatos of Murrysville; brother, John (Karen) Polandick of New York, and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends and neighbors. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses on the 3rd floor at Latrobe Hospital for all their love and compassionate care given to their mom. Thank you also to the staff at SeniorLIFE in Greensburg for their care of Janet.  Per Janet’s wishes a memorial gathering to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, Jan. 20th, 2024  from NOON to 4 p.m. at the JOSEPH W.
