Margaret Ann “Maggie” (Kopko) Jones

Margaret Ann “Maggie” Jones, 52, of Paintertown, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 28. 2024, in UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born October 14, 1971, in Greensburg, a daughter, of the late George Sr. and Carol (Flanigan) Kopko. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ricky Jones. Maggie was Catholic by faith. She was a secretary for many years before her illness. She was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and loved attending Pirate games with her friends. She also spent many weekends camping with her friends. Maggie is survived by her two sisters, Betsy Walter and her husband, Randy of Rillton and Nicole Kopko and her husband, Ahmed El-Gayyar of Georgia; a brother, George Kopko Jr. of Larimer; brother-in-law, Keith (Vanessa) Jones, of North Huntingdon; nieces and nephews, George Michael, Amanda (Graves), Christopher, and Tony Kopko; Salih and Kareem El-Gayyar; Aubrey and Autumn Jones and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins who loved her dearly; three special godchildren, Michael, Tanner, and Kylee Peters; her dear friend, Tammy Peters and her husband, Mike; special friend, Brian Reese. Maggie will be dearly missed by her family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Shadyside Hospital for their love and compassionate care. Per Maggie’s wishes there will be no visitation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. JOSEPH W.
